I'm trying to recover pictures from my SD card. I ran the deep scan and found several pictures that were unrecoverable and several more that were 'excellent.' Some of the excellent ones I can see the preview and some I can't. When I run the recovery, I can't find where they go. I've tried making new folders and the new folder doesn't show up. I've tried just saving to the desktop and nothing shows up there either. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks!

Recuva "Ignoring" Files
I started a recovery on a damaged disc with pictures from one of my biggest swim meets, and Recuva is saying it found all the 956 pictures, however, it says 2 files found (954 ignored). I'm wondering how to get it to NOT ignore the files, because those are the absolute priceless ones. Please, any help will be so much appreciated.....

PC went to sleep during drive image creation and now I have no video
This is the first time I have used recuva and was trying to recover an excel file. When I started the program it asked if I wanted to make an system image. I thought it would be a good idea so I said yes - it started the process fime but said it would take about 1 hour. So I left the PC to let it finish.
Unfortunately the pc went to sleep during the process and while it re-started when I moved the mouse, I now have no video on the moniter. I wondering if recurva restarted making the image where it left off and even if it does, how will I tell when it's done or if it's expecting me to input something if I have no monitor? Will the program just hang?

Sony Camera format .M2TS
I have deleted a user account in windows 10. In the account I had 32gb of video file's using file extension .m2ts.
Ran Recuva and found nothing and I can see different file extension in the search but not this one.
Would it be possible to get this file extension .m2ts added??

Need help in recovering a full Hd, having issues
Ok, not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. I have a 2tb secondary drive that originally got messed up. Files no longer there, but are found using Recuva. If i use basic wizard mode theres no choice for sub directories. I can do a image to another drive. If i do that that will make an exact copy with accessible files then correct?
I tried advance mode, with sub directly checked and deep scan. But theres no choice to make it go to another drive when doing that. Since the drive is so full, it errors out saying not enough room is on the drive. Thats before i even recover. Suggestions/help would be great. thanks.

Recently deleted files on a Bitlocker volume
Hi all, hope somone can help, I seem to have a particular situation.
Windows 8.1 Pro PC with an external USB3 1tb Western Digital mechanical disk drive (please note: NOT an internal C: drive etc)
The drive is reporting zero S.M.A.R.T errors, and the drive sounds and operates healthily (full read speeds)
This drive has had Bitlocker applied to it from day one.
A folder of files was accidentally deleted and emptied from recycle bin from it. (These files were copied to the drive originally about 24 hours prior.)
The rest of the remaining files on the volume are perfectly readable. The volume is NOT locked and the Bitlocker password/keys are fine and in good working order.
Within literally minutes of realising the files had been deleted, a deep scan of Recuva was attempted on it. No data has been written to the drive since.
There should have been no 'overwriting'. It is not a system drive nor has it been used for any kind of swap file location etc.
After running a deep scan for 2 hours, Recuva only seems to find a couple of 2 year old deleted files that should have been naturally overwritten ages ago by now.
The recently deleted files do not seem to be detectable. How/why could this be the case? Bare in mind as i've said no data has been written to the drive since they were deleted.
Is Recuva unable to scan properly inside (successfully unlocked) Bitlocker volumes correctly?

Can Recuva recover deleted emails?
I'm desperately looking for any help I can get here. Yesterday, I mistakenly removed/emptied all the emails I had in my Yahoo 'inbox' thinking I was emptying my trash folder. I performed this BIG error from my iPhone 6S. Was kinda hoping they'd somehow appear when I logged onto my laptop at home, but NO! I recalled having installed Recuva on my laptop a few years ago, but don't see anything on the forum addressing this issue. Does anyone know if Recuva can help me and if so, how? THANKS!

Deleted Live Mail Folders
I received a notice from Microsoft relating to Windows Live Mail requiring an update to continue to function properly, with a recommendation to start using the Mail that came with my new pc (Outlook), so I decided to try it. I added my e-mail account to the program. There were still a couple of other e-mail addresses that I needed to add, so I continued to use Live Mail in the interim.
About a day later, I noticed that some of my Live Mail folders were missing. With advice from a Microsoft rep in one of their forums, I decided to re-add the e-mail account, and was just about to remove the old one when I noticed that two of my folders were missing. While trying to figure out what happened to them, I then noticed that every time I launched either the Outlook or the Live Mail, it would sync and delete more folders. I have now lost all of my personal folders.
I contacted Microsoft and spoke with a rep for quite a while -- using remote assist, he started looking around my pc Live Mail and Outlook, but apparently could not help me. He advised me to contact the chat line and ask someone to call me to explain the situation and provide them with my case no. He mentioned that I may have to perform a system restore to the day before I noticed the deletions, and that this will put my pc back to exactly how it was before I noticed the problems. However, he did not know if the Live Mail folders would be part of the restore or not.
Does anyone know if this will work? Can Recuva actually recover my deleted folders?
Any help would be appreciated.

Recuva keeps going to 'Not Responding'
Hi all, hopefully I can get some help, I am not as technical as a lot of you so please bear with me.
I bought the pro version of Recuva to help recover photos/videos that were on my computer that was recently formatted. I ran the program looking for pictures, I searched on all drives and used the deep search. After about 3 or 4 days recuva found ALOT of files, too many. I was in list view and I selected them all because when I tried to uncheck files that I didn't care about recuva would go into 'not responding', I am guessing because I have too many files that were found. I am assuming that it found EVERY picture of every website I went on, all I want are my personal pictures. I cant select or not select any of the files because when I do it just keeps not responding.
I tried to just recover everything thinking that I could just delete what I don't want at a later date. I bought a new 2 TB drive to back up everything to but when I do that it says that the file name is too long for the folder, or something. It wont work. I am really frustrated, any help would be great. Thank you.

Can Recuva help recover my KeePass password database file?
Hi!
I just realized that my KeePass database has been rendered useless by the Windows 10 upgrade process. I am still in shock!
Toward the end of the upgrade process, Windows 10 did the m*****f****** disk scan and repair b******t and I remember seeing that it scanned my J: drive. This was my backup partition.
I didn't realize until now when I tried to open my KeePass file that it has become corrupted. The file name itself is still there! But it's a 0 byte file!
Is there any chance Recuva can recover a file whose file name is still intact but the data is missing? I mean, would Recuva even consider such file as missing?
What else can I do to undo the wrongdoing of Windows 10 scan and repair process? Can it be undone? Note that it's only this file that's corrupted! All the other s**t is still intact on the partition! Conveniently... only the most important file is corrupted (its data is not linked to its name or whatever). I have never been so screwed by Windows! Ever! In my 20 years of using Windows! I had over 200 passwords saved in that file!

Question on trail version and pro version
Dear there,
I downlaoded trail version and tested on my bad HD, the result shows all as tmp file, whatever they are picture, doc, or mail pst file, some are divided as 64KB size as multi file for same one file.
If register as pro version, can it be recovered as one by one complete file?

Trying to recover from an infected Cryptowall hard disk
Hello,
I have a hard disk infected with Cryptowall, so files are encrypted and have a random 7-digits extension at the end of the name.
Cryptowall encrypts data then deletes the original files, so I'm trying Recuva to recover them.
It seems to work, but when I restore files, Windows says that files are "damaged or corrupted" or something similar. Inside files are garbage,
It seems to me that Recuva restores the file name leaving data encrypted. It happens with all files.
I tried Photorec: it works, so restored files are readeable, but this software can't recover directory structure or file names, so I get something like 100.000 or more recovered files to check inside to find my data :-(
Any help, advice, suggestion, doc link or psychological support will very apreciated.

Destination Disk Full error
Hello. Started using Recuva to restore files. Ran it once and retrieved a good number of files. When I went to run it again I received an error that the destination disk was full. It said it needs 3 GB of space, but the destination drive has over 200 GB free. Any thoughts why this would be? Thanks.

PowerPoint Presentation recovered but not opening
Hello, I came here out of desperation. When I formatted the pc to install a new SSD two vital files for my work didn't copy into my hard disk. I found them via deep search. One was in excellent conditions the other one was in poor condition but since they were at least similar it's ok.
I tried to open them and power point failed, it then said I could recover them, but it said it didn't have access.
Is it because they were saved on my old desktop? and if so is there a way to open them anyway?

can`t open recovered images and text files are auto encoded to ANSII
Hi, after scan, when i check image files i can see that they are 100% healthy and not rewrited , but after recover i cant open any of images: "...because file is damaged, corupted or too large". Some sugestions?
And i accidentaly deleted some programming script files .js and after recovery theyr encoding is ANSII but they originaly were utf8, so everithing is unreadable, is there some way to save these files as utf8?
